Three S-Bus applications are available with the Engiby Configurator. Each of them offer useful
features according to the particularities of the corresponding S-Bus
applications. For instance, the RSxxx application supports specially fast
reaction times you may need for a lightning control,
the TCP/IP version helps you to configure a multi-master
topology and the Modem package, offer high reliability and detailed diagnostics.
S-Bus
RS xxx
Now you can create your
S-Bus application with a much higher comfort and you will fined useful features
to reach the performance you have been looking for long time. This package is
especially required when short reaction time are required on some telegrams
even if the whole communication volume is big. Specific and immediate reaction
required for lightning control application is ensured.

The new RcvAuto
table defines Rcv telegrams and fast reactions on further telegrams when a
received value has changed. Typical applications are :
Lightning control over RIO
When a switch is activated, a fast reaction is required to the concerned light
outputs.
This application should use the priority level 1.
Analogue value supervision in RIO
When an analogue
input of a RIO changes (and/or a limit value is reached), a fast reaction is
required to other outputs, and maybe to other RIOs.
Data packages prepared by the Slave
When a slave has prepared a data package for the master, the reading can be
activated in the slave by a single command flag. Setting the flag will ask the
master to read the associated package. The last action could be the resetting
of the command flag in the slave.
This application would rather use priority 2 or 3.
Finally, this table offer at least 3
big advantages:

Some
telegrams can be skipped when not necessary to reduce the total communication
time.
·
Specific
telegrams can be executed quickly when necessary.
·
The
conditions and reactions are simply defined in a table without the need for programming
complex logic.
S-Bus
TCP/IP
Creating
S-Bus communication with the S-Fup Fboxes does not provide a good overview,
especially when the multi-master capability of S-Bus TCP/IP should be used.
Some feature, like telegram priority, automatic send of changed
values, are only available with this tool.
Engiby
advise the use of this toll with the Ethernet applicom card supporting
Client/Server functions.

S-Bus Modem
Creating
S-Bus communication over Modem with the S-Fup Fboxes present many limitations,
especially when an efficient and secure transmission is required. More precise
control can only be reached by developing its own IL code and Graftec
structures. This task is only accessible to advanced developers and by
providing a large investment on testing and debugging.
Engiby has
developed this S-Bus Modem package in order to offer a comfortable solution to
users wanting to achieve high level of efficiency and security and still
providing a good overview of the realized application.

library and the Engiby Configurator.
