The M-Bus protocol is a standard protocol for reading of devices like heat, water, gas and electrical energy meters. M-Bus is normalized as EN 1434 and EN 13757. Many manufacturers have implemented an M-Bus interface based on this standard. With the M-Bus FBox library, the Saia PCD® acts as Master and is able to read the values from the meters, using either a PCD2/3.F27x module, an M-Bus level converter for RS 232 serial lines or TCP/IP communication.
